My First Black Histoy Post: Gill Scott Heron

Gill Scott Heron paved the way for majority of us conscious rappers. In fact there wouldn't be albums like Whats Going On if it was not fir this man. Born on April 1, 1941, Heron played an intricate part in black history providing the soundtrack for the Black Nationalist Movement. His songs like " The Revolution Will Not Be Televised" and "The Bottle" strike the awareness in the people that Marvin Gaye couldn't create. In recent years, Kanye West has resurrected the legacy of Heron through samples, records like "The People" and "Home" create the same vibe Heron created in the seventies.
Whelp Here is some of his work...Enlighten yourselves people!
